The annual TT Roll-up Xmas Lunch was held on Sunday 8th December at Frilford Heath Golf Club.
Following the usual excellent Christmas carvery meal, the party repaired to the upstairs lounge for coffee and Christmas cake.
Nigel French (aka Emperor Hirudo) made his usual boring speech, in which he thanked the Club for the quality of the golfing facilities as well as the excellent lunch provided for our enjoyment and Paul Richards for making our arrangements for the lunch. He also announced the results of two recent TT Roll-up competitions - the Turkey Trot on 21st November and the 3-Club Challenge on 3rd December.
He then announced the results of the 2013 Hugh Chamberlain Trophy competition. The trophies for the winner, Ken Morris, and the prize (kindly donated by 2012 Hugh Chamberlain Trophy winner, David Parker) for the runner-up, Ian McDougall, were presented by Hugh Chamberlain himself.
The winner, Ken Morris, then invited David Buchanan (aka Dr Golf) to present instructional videos to two new members who, he felt, might benefit from the advice contained therein.
As an additional diversion, Paul Richards arranged the raffle prize draw.
A good time was apparently had by all.
