Two teams of Leeches participated in the Sixth Ronald McDonald House Oxford Golf Day on a glorious early summer day at Collingtree Park Golf Club on 21st May 2014.
Neither team came close to winning the team prize, which was based on the best two (sic!) Stableford scores per hole and won with a score of 86 points. Leeches 1 (Nigel French, Ian McDougall, Paul Richards and Eddie Wragg) just gained bragging rights over Leeches 2 (Cyril Harrison, Ken Morris*, Roger Rapley and Malcolm Thomas) with a score of 69 points vs 62 points.

There were other on the course golfing prizes, barely advertised and poorly explained, none of which any Leeches won - although Eddie Wragg might have taken some money off the local pro if he had entered the "beat the pro" challenge on the 12th when he stiffed his tee shot and sank the putt for a birdie. There was also an excellent dinner accompanied by raffle and auction, which all went on a bit.
