These German postcards mostly date from the WW1 period, some sent as “Feldpostkarten” ie forces postal service cards. Two in particular are clearly propaganda from early in the war period (see PC_GerProp01a & PC_GerProp01b).
Some were sold to support the German Air Fleet Command (see PC_GermanAF1 et seq). Others were sold in aid of German service personnel welfare funds.
Of particular interest for me, however, is the series of eight cards which show scenes in the life of Kaiser Wilhelm II and which also fit together as one composite image of the Kaiser (see PC_German14a-h).
