The 1906 General Election saw a landslide victory for the Liberals who won 397 seats in parliament. The Conservative Party had its worst ever result winning only 156 seats. This PC depicts the result in Oxford where Arthur Annesley, 11th Viscount Valentia, the Conservative candidate, narrowly defeated the Liberal candidate, George Whale.
